Don’t let the humble appearance fool you, the food and service were excellent. Highly recommend it.
Food was good and reasonably priced for the area.
Absolutely shocking service & customer service! Over a 2 hour wait for food, rang back to see if its on the way, said ye it had left.... rang back again & said there very busy its been cooked??? They like to lie. When i complained they didnt even apolagise. Just said "very busy"They just lost very loyal customers who spend over $100 a week!!! Disgusted!!!! Never ever again.
Quality Chinese food. Not too salty, good flavours: my favourite was the fried tofu mixed veggie. Perfect flavour, crispy veg, saucy tofu. Would have liked more actual veg in it though. Broccoli and the like. Fried rice also very good.
The restaurant has been closed permanently on July 31st 2019.
Good service. Clean and quick. Food was good.
Good for late night cheap eats. Prices are good. Food a little on the oily side.
Great price. Enjoyed duck
Eggplant a green beans was really good. Also had duck (covered in plum sauce?), Breaded fish, fried rice. Everything was pretty good.
Love their food and very affordable and has a special irish menu for irish takeaways
I used to have good experience here but today the lady she was very rude. I didn't know why. Maybe she was too busy or whatever reasons. I ordered my favorite food dish and she refused my order because they are too busy. Her attitude was so rude that I wanted just leave. I would never come back again.
Lunch specials are a good price. Comes with either pop or soup. I chose the corn soup, it was a good size. Ordered the yang chow fried rice. It wasn't greasy and the portion was large enough for me to save half for dinner.
Taste like high school cafeteria Chinese food.
I like to come here with my grandmother who lives in Yaletown. The waitress knows who we are and even once ran outside across the street to say hello to my grandmother at the bus stop. They are extremely kind and the food is made fresh to order. My parents also like to come here after shopping downtown. Favourite are the deep fried spicy squid and the beef and bean stirfry. I really like this place and hope that they are able to build their customer base :)
Chicken in Orange Sauce = Half-cooked frozen chicken strips with no sauce, topped with 2 half slices of orange. NON-SANITARY!! Also lies about adding some sauce to my order.
Wouldn’t come back. There is a really rude lady here who is probably the owner and her attitude made me not want to dine in. She pushed me around. Food was okay, but definitely not worth that lady acting like that. :/
Great Chinese food
We came here for a snack and got fried rice and dumplings. The fried rice was excellent
Local Chinese place located within minutes walk from the heart of downtown. The service was good and the food was decent. Wouldn't be my go-to Chinese place but reasonable prices with decent food that isn't too oily.
Excellent quality Chinese food. I always take out, so can not comment on the ambiance, but hands down, the freshest, best quality Chinese food I have found in Vancouver. Not the normal oversize portions you get at most Chinese restaurants, and slightly pricier, but well worth it! You can watch them stir frying up your dishes with all the fresh veggies through the glass.
No flavour and poor quality. Don’t waste your money. Dumplings, both steamed and fried, have zero flavour and not a great texture. Hot and sour soup is sweet and has weird pork in it. We got the chicken Chop suey, soggy and again no flavour. The beef flat noodle was the only edible item. But I certainly wouldn’t recommend it.
Great food! We had the Black pepper beef (served sizzling), BBQ pork fried rice, and Sweet and sour pork.
A cosy place for simple and traditional Chinese dishes. Run by an experienced and hardworking couple. The husband chef is very dedicated and serious about his cooking, and is willing to take special requests. It's also a popular place for takeout.
Great fresh food
Exactly opposite to the name : extremely rude and dirty !
Been here a couple times now and wonder why I keep returning, ordered takeout and a price was different when she rang it in, she smiled and said "price changed" uh ok and it's a new menu pamphlet. Also found it strange that the vegetarian spring rolls came in 10s - mini ones .. definitely Costco. Consistently Disappointed.
awful, rude staff(cheff), so so food. wouldn't ever go back there again.
Service is great and the food is delicious! Get their salt and pepper anything. Fries, chicken, spare ribs, squid. It's all amazing.
I like their lunch combo for price wise, I go there for lunch very often. The staff is helpful and food taste fresh and tasty 🙂
Very good chinese food served by the friendly, busy staff. You can see your meal being prepared, behind the glassed in kitchen separating the dining area. Small, cost little place across the street from a Starbucks, just off of granville on davie. Seems to be a number of regulars coming back for more, some of whom know the manager(owner?), by name. They were very busy but I received a sincere apology for waiting (which was unnecessary). The food was excellent, a bit on the spicy side but Well prepared and presented. It was about $30 for 3 dishes. It's now my favorite local chinese restaurant. Well done.
Excellent Chinese food with robust flavors. The fried rice is great. The sweet and sour pork is great. The black pepper beef is amazing and so tender. Its a small place with average ambience. They only have black tea.
Took an hour to get take out. I called ahead to make sure I wouldn't have to wait. They asked me what my order was about 6 times. Way too slow
Decent food. I like the fried wontons!
Soooo good wow. Cute atmosphere too
Homey and delicious. Fried rice and beef was great! Free WiFi as well.
Amazing food and great service. I highly recommend this place. Best Chinese food I've had in a long time.
Food was terrible service was so slow.over priced and food was cold that was clearly bought from cost co
Great food and quick service. I went there with a friend and had dinner. We got fried chicken rice, vegetables and fried fish. It was good enough to come back.
Will not return. Ordered sweet and sour pork lunch special for $8.50. Can't eat green peppers so I explained 5 different ways please no green peppers. The owner asked for $16.95. When I asked "why not the special price?" She outright lied and said "only on Thursday" when my coworker had the special on Saturday the day before. When I got to work there was NO pineapple NO carrots NO onions... ONLY GREEN PEPPERS AND PORK!
very kind and delicious
Poor customer service and the lady was absolutely useless and rude. I usually order from here, but I was absolutely disappointed my the interaction I had today.
Absolutely amazing. It was a little too salty for my taste, but it was very good in general. As someone who was born and raised in Hong Kong, I was surprised by the quality of the food.
The takeaway we had from here was very nice. All ingredients were very fresh and tasted very nice indeed. I had a special chow mein and I couldn't really fault it for a takeaway. Portion sizes are very generous and although we had a long wait (they were particularly busy when we visited) staff were very apologetic and thanked us numerous times for our patience. We didn't mind waiting as they were clearly busy and the food was worth the wait in the end.
Worst ginger beef I've ever had, not even considering how it was 70% more expensive than competing restaurants
This place is clean, tasty, and reasonably priced. I recommend the lunch specials, which include tea, soup, and entree. Warning: the spicy and sour soup is very spicy but delicious. If you don't like spicy then don't order it.
Destroying the Chinese tradition... the quality is not maintained on top of that the stuff is in disciplined immature in nature fighting in the kitchen like this is some kind of a Fight Club show... the water is like onion juice.. the staff needs to ponder upon basic customer handling skills.. worst experience ever ..will not visit in my life.. save your money there are a lot of other great restaurants in the area..
Great Chinese restaurant in Downtown! Loved the prawn 🍤 fried rice 🍚, the salt and pepper chili ribs and the wonton soup 🍲 The staff is nice, and the place is small but cozy. Thanks!
Good food, great service, not the widest drinks selection but its a small food restaurant not a bar! Would definitely go back. Wish i lived in the 3km distance for delivery though
My friend recommend this restaurant, and so I come to try. The food is awesome!Deep fried wanton, ginger beef and salt and pepper combo are great. Also great service. Definitely would recommend to friends! !
Very B average. They really need to lift the quality of both their food and service offering - it is as if they see their business as an unfortunate necessity in their lives to sustain them economically. Hardly a recipe for success in today's competitive fast food and restaurant markets.
